As a newly awarded research infrastructure of national importance, we have been providing the space and expertise to turn visions into innovations for over 50 years.

Whether building material tests, CO₂ reduction projects or space research: researchers and developers from all over the world use our research infrastructure. They carry out cutting-edge research, training and 1:1 tests in 25,000 m² of tunnels, laboratories, caverns and test fields or use the fascinating underground world for events of a different kind.
